SHORT FILM POSTERS

Poster design for indie short films.

Kasf Thahabi

Set in the 1980s during the Lebanese Civil War, the story follows a betrothed couple whose wedding plans are repeatedly disrupted by bombings and protests. Tired of waiting, they finally decide to marry in a bomb shelter.

Aamaliyeh Fardiyeh

A desperate man goes to an ATM machine to try and withdraw services that aren't provided by his country, Lebanon, and keeps getting declined. Instead of losing hope, he joins the revolution.

[X]ERRORIZE

I Love/Hate Graphic Design” poster workshop with Raúl Goñi. The brief: What is graphic design to you? To me, it’s not being afraid to experiment or make mistakes. Inspiration often comes from the unexpected, and errors can open new creative paths.

[X]errorize The Mona Lisa

An exploration of distortion, overlays, color burns, negative colors, and glitch effects. Crop marks are intentionally left visible to emphasize imperfection. By dropping a single letter, terrorize becomes errorize, shifting the meaning from destruction to experimentation.

KARANTINA

A personal project created during the pandemic quarantine, inspired by a longing for the outside world in all its imperfect beauty.

Even tangled cables start to look inspiring when you’re stuck inside.
“Tab shou khassak” is Lebanese slang for ‘What’s it to you?’ During quarantine, I found myself spending more time on social media, where comments grew increasingly aggressive and intrusive. After a while, even the polluting smoke from chimneys outside felt easier to take than the endless noise online.

MULSAQAT AFLAM

A series of english language movies re-imagined as vintage Arabic movie posters.

Black Swan

The Hangover

Saw

Fight Club

The Shining

FINE LIVING

Pandemic Alert workshop with Lo Siento Studio, held right after quarantine. The brief was to design an analogue poster reflecting the state of the world we were living in. We chose to create an unglamorous magazine cover, reflecting how unglamorous quarantine truly was.

Material: Essential quarantine items // light projection.
Material: Essential quarantine items // acrylic paint // dirty nylon.
