Poster Series

Some poster design selections; individual standalone posters as well as series.

QUARANTINE

A personal project in the midst of the pandemic quarantine. Longing for the outside with all of its imperfections

[// Photography by Lorenzo Binard]

Karantina

Even the disordered cables can seem appealing and inspiring when you’re trapped inside.

Tab Shou Khassak?

Lebanese slang for “What’s it to you?” Being stuck spending more time on social media and reading comments that get increasingly aggressive and meddling as the quarantine grows longer will make you miss even the polluting smoke coming out of the chimneys,

MULSAQAT AFLAM

A series of english language movies re-imagined as vintage Arabic movie posters.

Black Swan

Fight Club

Saw

The Hangover

The Shining

SHORT FILM POSTERS

Poster design for indie short films.

Kasf Thahabi

Set in the 80’s during the Lebanese Civil War, a betrothed couple’s wedding keeps facing hurdles from bombings to protests, until they finally had enough and decided to wed in the bomb shelter.

Aamaliyeh Fardiyeh

A desperate man goes to an ATM machine to try and withdraw services that aren't provided by his country, Lebanon, and keeps getting declined. Instead of losing hope, he joins the revolution.

Mouhit / Retrouvailles

A coming of age movie about a young man discovering his own sexuality, and trying to metaphorically dispose of it in the vast ocean.

THE ROLLING STONES (SILKSCREEN PRINT)

One of the first ever posters I made.

[X]ERRORIZE

“I Love/Hate Graphic Design” poster workshop with Raul Goñi: What is graphic design to you? Design to me is not being afraid to experiment & make errors, to not be terrorized by the idea of making mistakes. You never know what will trigger inspiration.

[X]ERRORIZE The Mona Lisa

An experimentation with distortion, overlay, color burn, negative colors, glitching… crop marks are left on purpose to further highlight the imperfection of the piece. The missing letter transforms the word from “terrorize” to “errorize”.

FINE LIVING

“Pandemic Alert” workshop with Lo Siento studio, right after quarantine. The brief was to design an analogue poster that reflects the situation of the world in which we are living. We chose to do a very unglamorous magazine cover, given how unglamorous the quarantine was.
